about fashion model


When we talk about the fashion show, model and cloth are necessary elements of fashion show. According to Hamly (1997) fashion model is evolved by artist’s model. In the twentieth century, as abstract art triumphed, the artist’s model literally fell out of the picture. However, when the camera can present accuracy of picture, the media of the magazine let model to become popular, therefore, models were gradually connected to fashion.
In general, fashion models are distinguished three types, paint modeling, runaway modeling and supermodels. Wikipedia.org (n.d) states Print modeling showcases clothes for photographs used in magazines, newspapers, advertisements, billboards, press kits, etc. Supermodels are highly paid, high profile fashion models. These (usually female) celebrities appear on top fashion magazine covers, in catalogues, and in fashion shows. Runway modeling Main articles: Size zero and Female body shape Runway models showcases clothes from fashion designers, fashion media, and consumers. They are also called "live models" and they are self employed. Runway models work in different locations. The runway modeling is directly display to customer. Therefore, the runaway model can complete show fashion designer of design, how to make cloth presents beauty and attraction, the model is very significant role of fashion show.
In the traditional fashion show we can see fashion always walk on the fashion runway, but many fashion designers start apply technology to present their design, especially, using film is common approach. When the fashion show use film to present, the model is no longer confined, they can dance, jump, that is different from traditional fashion show.
